Stories In Progress

Red Herring Suicide

A delightful little murder mystery...with a twist (aren't they all that way though????...weird).

Marilyn Madeline, a former star of stage and screen, turned off the TV and just sat, staring at the glowing fireplace. She was really starting to hate those old movie channels; they showed you your past, whether you wanted to see it or not. Just when she thought she could finally let her movie star days go, the movie studio that owned the rights to all of her old films sold them to syndicated television. Even the network news stations began re-investigating the disappearance of the actor that portrayed Dave Davenport, her ex-fiancé.

"Just when you get your life back on track and everyone has forgotten his mysterious demise from this Earth.WHAM! They pull the rug right out from under you!!"

She was depressed that night; she had been that way for the past several weeks, and tonight a crazy thought had entered her mind. "What would death feel like??" she mused.

There was a knock at the door. Eve Chase, Marylyn's personal secretary, came into the study.

Sorry I can't give away the whole story, but it's not quite done yet. The finished story will be posted as soon as it's done.
